Dr. Wayne J. Ahern, DVM

I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1982 and have been gaining experience in general practice since then. My wife, Shelley, and I have two grown children, Rachel and Ethan. We enjoy boating, biking, and outdoor activities. My areas of interest include surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. I believe in keeping current through continuing education and take in several meetings, seminars, and online classes throughout the year. At Animal Kingdom, we strive to provide careful, conscientious diagnosis and treatment to our patients and seek to establish personal, ongoing relationships with the people that care for them.

Dr. Ana Falk, DVM

I graduated from Veterinary School in Ecuador in 2000. While going to Veterinary School, I also attended a 3 year course in homeopathy. After moving to the United States, I spent 7 months at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Tennessee. I then received my full certification in the US and my Iowa Veterinary License. I am a certified veterinary acupuncturist from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and have been practicing acupuncture in adition to traditional medicine since 2006. My areas of interest include Internal Medicine, Holistic Medicine, Sports medicine and Canine Fitness. I love working with pets and helping them stay happy and healthy.

Dr. Susan Oliver, DVM

I graduated from the University Of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. I love being a veterinarian and working with families to help keep their pets healthy and happy. I enjoy dentistry, internal medicine, behavior, and dermatology. I have a passion for learning, and enjoy attending continuing education courses. My husband Bill and I have a son. David wants to be a Jedi or an archaeologist, like his dad when he grows up.

Dr. Rebecca Noel, DVM

I graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and have been in general practice since then. My areas of interest include exotic companion medicine, feline medicine and behavior. I love going to continuing education courses/lectures to keep up with the latest information available. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and watching Game of Thrones.

Dr. Catherine McMillan, DVM

I am proud to say that I was born and raised in South Eastern Iowa and am very excited to be part of the Animal Kingdom team! I graduated from William Woods University and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After starting out my veterinary career in Cincinnati, I eventually settled down in to the Iowa City Area. I am very passionate about low stress handling for all animals and especially interested in feline medicine and pain management. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids, piano, collecting really old coins and any Hancher events! I serendipitously share my home with a old shih tzu Timmy, a lhasa/poodle Nala, a standard poodle Maribell and two cats Joey and Nyssa.

We are looking to add to our team of Veterinarians with a part-time or full-time veterinarian. If interested, please send resumes to animalkingdom@southslope.net.
